David's Guide to Krakow

Krakow isn't the kind of place that jumps to mind when thinking of destinations in Europe, and I wouldn't blame anyone for thinking like this. I did myself. Until I went to the city myself.....it completely changed my mind.

To be completely honest, it was my most memorable city from my travels across Europe. There is so much to do and see, and below are some of my must do's for a visit to Krakow which I hope will inspire you to visit yourself.

1. Segway Tour:

Without a doubt one of the great memories of Krakow. The tour cost us €20 which was a big hit for the budget we were on, and it took a heated conversation to decide. But we did it, and it was BRILLIANT. It takes you around the whole city of Krakow and gives you a really interesting background of the city.

2. Zakrzowek Lake

Zakrzowek is a super place to if you want to get out of the main city area. The lake is absolutely beautiful and such a good thing to go and do. The lake is huge and you can wander around and there are lots of different entrances to the lake.

3. Book a visit to Auschwitz

Auschwitz is a place that everyone should go at least once in their life and why not do it while you're in Krakow. Now, I would be lying if I told you this is a fun trip because that doesn't reflect my experience, but it's just a must see. I found it to be an extremely interesting and eye-opening experience.

4. Chill at Wawel Castle & Vistula River

Another great memory from Krakow was kicking a ball and chilling along the river and walking around the castle. This was more towards the end of our stay at Krakow and was a lovely way to end the trip. I would encourage you to do the same if you travel to this wonderful city.
